RIVER4 - An old ship's chain crusted in barnacles forms the foreground interest with the backdrop of the Tees Transporter Bridge. Be careful in this area as I was rescued by my son when I got stuck in the mud and was unable to move!

RIVER29 - Rattle Beck above Glenridding on a damp dismal morning. The gushing torrent has smoothed the front left blue black rocks the peaty tinge in the water adds warmth. The background hills are scarred by old mine workings.

RIVERS41 - At the top of Cauldron Snout, upper Teesdale. The Tees crashes over decending down a narrow heather clad rift. A rush is reflected in a small isolated pool.

RIVERS42 - A partly frozen Deepdale Beck trickles its way to join the Tees. Two large alders overhang the beck patially obscurring the old access bridge.
